PID V1 stopped on Sunday. Here is what that means at the desk.
On 20 September 2026 the CNS switched PID V1 off. A practice whose software still runs PID V1 cannot take a Paiement Immédiat Direct since Monday morning: the patient pays the full mémoire d'honoraires and claims the CNS share back. This page says what changed, what still works, and what a practice needs to be on PID V2.
What stopped
PID V1 was the first version of Paiement Immédiat Direct, opened in March 2024. PID V2 replaced it, with Remboursement digitalisé beside it, and the CNS kept V1 running for the software that had not moved. That ended on 20 September 2026. A PID request sent on V1 now gets no answer.
What still works this week
The consultation, the mémoire d'honoraires and the ordonnance. The patient pays the full amount at the desk and sends the mémoire to the CNS for reimbursement, on paper or through the GesondheetsApp. That is the situation before PID existed, and it holds until 1 October.
What changes on 1 October
From 1 October 2026 a mémoire d'honoraires in the Remboursement and PID modes has to reach the CNS electronically. A printed mémoire posted to the CNS no longer counts. Tiers payant and tiers payant social carry on as they are for now.
If your provider says V2 is coming
Ask for a date in writing and for the name of the eSanté connector they use. Every software on the SONS V2 list is certified, but a certified release that is not installed in your practice is worth nothing at the desk. On Clinico you are working the day you decide, with PID V2 active and your data migrated afterwards.
Three things a practice needs to be on PID V2.
None of them belongs to the software. If one is missing, no provider can activate PID V2 for you, so check these first.
Code prestataire
Your CNS provider code, eight positions. It identifies the practice on every mémoire d'honoraires and in the PID exchange.
eSanté professional access
An active account on the Agence eSanté platform, opened with your LuxTrust. This is what authenticates you in real time on every PID V2 request.
SONS V2 convention
The agreement with the Agence eSanté that lets your software transmit to the CNS. Signed once by the practice; your assistants are then declared in Mon Cabinet.
The login questions practitioners new to PID V2 ask.
Do I log in to eSanté for every invoice?
No. Your eSanté access and your code prestataire are entered once in the practice settings. Clinico handles the exchange with the CNS on each mémoire d'honoraires from there.
Where does LuxTrust come in?
LuxTrust is the identity you use to open and manage your eSanté professional access and to sign the SONS V2 convention. PID V2 checks it in real time, which is why a certificate file shared around the practice, as in older software, no longer works.
Can my assistant take a PID payment without me?
Yes, once your assistants are declared in Mon Cabinet. They then bill under your name without calling you away between patients. Clinico supports this today.
On Clinico, PID V2 is active the same day.
You start on a blank Clinico, invoice with PID V2 from the first patient, and we migrate your data afterwards. Solo €249 or Clinic €449 per month, TTC, billed annually, migration included, no setup fee, money back within 60 days.
